Panther Productions is the MultiMedia/Television Production class at Paulding High School.  This class is responsible for producing and airing the morning announcements that air at 9:03 am each school day.

Panther Productions started 3 years ago as part of the School Facilities Commission and new school project in the Paulding Exempted Village School District.  During that first year, 14 students took part in the class.  Most of the stuff that took place in that class was PowerPoint generated materials and promotions information.  It wasn't until the end of the school year that the students received television production equipment.  At that time, Morning Announcements were done live on Friday over the school's closed-circuit television system.

Two years ago, students took part in producing live Morning Announcements on Fridays and also produced a 15-minute news-magazine show that aired on Friday's during homerooms.

That brings us to this past year.  Things have certainly changed for Panther Productions.    We had 19 students enrolled in MultiMedia and another 18 students enrolled in Introduction to MultiMedia.  All Morning Announcements were done live every day of the school year on television.  The class still produces a 15-minutes news-magazine show that airs on Friday.  Beginning February 15, 2006, Panther Productions began running the local government/education cable access channel for those who receive Adelphia/ Time Warner in the school district.

This is a busy and exciting time for Panther Productions.  This past May we received programming from STEP-Star, and just recently began receiving a program called "Adventures with Mr. Bandman." These two programs  will bring more classroom type programming to our channel and feature lessons in math, science, Spanish social studies, and elementary music.  We are also recording and producing all high school boys and girls basketball games, along with some freshmen and junior games as well.
